 Duration: January - April 2018

We want you to become a great accountant, auditor and business advisor. For you to achieve that, we believe in helping you find the right environment, and providing the mentorship and experience you need to decide which direction your professional career will go. As a student in BDO’s Accounting group, you will have the opportunity to:

  • Use the technical knowledge you have acquired through your accounting and tax courses, you will carry out work projects and assignments under the direct supervision of a manager or another experienced team member
  • Prepare personal tax returns, corporate tax returns and HST returns, prepare notice to reader engagements, complete routine analysis and bookkeeping assignments following established procedures, complete ad-hoc duties or assignments as required


Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge

  • Working towards undergraduate degree/diploma with a focus in accounting
  • Bookkeeping experience would be an asset
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and the ability to work in a team environment
  • Knowledge of Quickbooks and Simply Accounting is an asset
  • Experience with Caseware, Taxprep and Caseview is an asset
  • Good problem solving and strong organizational skills
  • Self-sufficient and proactive
  • Comfortable interacting with clients
