    BDO’s Consulting professionals work with clients to address a variety of business issues and opportunities, ranging from profitability pressures, changing regulations and volatile economies to mergers and acquisitions and technology solutions. As a student in Advisory services, your tasks will vary between assignments – providing you variety and continual learning, but will include:

    • Carrying out work projects and assignments under the direct supervision a manager or another experienced team member.
    • Using the technical skills acquired in your academic program, you will research issues and present alternatives/conclusions to clients, Project Managers, Senior Consultants or Partners.
    • Provide assistance in analyzing engagement economics (budget versus actual), updating project management framework, keeping project advised on status of your assigned tasks.
    • Develop relationships with clients, project teams and contribute to the completion of the client work.
    • Increase your knowledge from the team members sharing approach, standards and best practices to finding client solutions.

     

    Education and Professional Skills/Knowledge

    • Enrolled in a business focused post-secondary program
    • Excellent attention to detail and ability to perform analytical work accurately, often under time pressure
    • Developed communication skills and strong ability to collaborate with team members
    • Ability to prioritize competing priorities with varying deadlines
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills in a fast-paced deals environment
