    Your opportunity

    Our Ottawa office is looking for a Consultant to join the Advisory Services team and own the following responsibilities:

    • Carrying out work projects and assignments under the direct supervision a manager or another experienced team member.
    • Using the technical skills acquired in your academic program, you will research issues and present alternatives/conclusions to clients, Project Managers, Senior Consultants or Partners.
    • Provide assistance in analyzing engagement economics (budget versus actual), updating project management framework, keeping project advised on status of your assigned tasks.
    • Develop relationships with clients, project teams and contribute to the completion of the client work.
    • Increase your knowledge from the team members sharing approach, standards and best practices to finding client solutions.

    • You will understand the industries BDO services and contribute to the group's advancement.
    • You will ensure work is complete, accurate and appropriately reviewed by maintaining the necessary technical knowledge and professional development.
    • You will recommend and implement quality or efficiency improvements to our engagements.
    • You will actively engage in communication with people leaders to ensure understanding of performance and development, while identifying and attracting top talent.
    • You will support our firm's revenue growth by referring clients to other services lines and new clients to BDO.

    Your experience and education

    • Working towards a business-related degree
    • Proficiency in MS Office
    • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
    • Ability to prioritize workloads and manage multiple tasks and deadlines
